Celebrate the Graham Neighborhood at the Block Party – Sept 27

Graham Block Party! In bold block letters, with an illustration of a light rail car. Below are illustrations of people walking, biking, and playing along a path. One person is in a wheelchair playing with a basketball. Another person walks their dog. Below the illustration it says: Saturday, September 27, 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., MLK Jr. Way & Eddy St., free.

The Graham neighborhood is full of history, culture, and resilience. Generations of families, small businesses, and community organizations have shaped this part of South Seattle into the vibrant place it is today. This fall, neighbors and community partners are coming together to celebrate and imagine what’s next.

On Saturday, September 27, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m, join the Graham Block Party at MLK Jr Way S and S Eddy St (in front of Rainier BBQ). Enjoy free food, music, cultural performances, and activities for all ages at this family-friendly celebration.

This moment is especially important because a new Sound Transit light rail station is planned to open in Graham by 2031. We, alongside the Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT), are working with residents, small businesses, and organizations to create a Station Area Plan. This plan builds on the Graham Street Neighborhood Vision, a community-led framework, and continues the City’s investment through the Equitable Development Initiative (EDI) to support cultural institutions and community anchors.

Come celebrate, connect with neighbors, and share your voice about the future of the Graham neighborhood.
